How to care for your coat
Puffer and padded coats: always follow the care label. Wash cold on a delicate cycle without fabric softener and tumble dry on low with a couple of tennis balls so the filling regains its loft.
Waterproof coats: use little detergent and no softener to protect the water-repellent finish; if water stops beading, apply a waterproofing spray.
Parkas: brush the fur trim and store on a wide hanger.
Which coat for which occasion
City and everyday: a short puffer or a light padded coat. Freezing weather or a ski trip: a long hooded puffer or a parka. Rainy days: a long Rains or K-Way raincoat.
